    1. Transact Australia (ABN 99171484851) , known as Transact, or Transact Market is committed to providing quality services to you and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information.

      We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The NPPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information.

    1. By using our service, you agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of that information in accordance with this Privacy Policy, the Privacy Act and other applicable privacy laws.
  3. What is Personal Information, why do we collect it, and use it?
    1. Personal Information or User Data is information or an opinion that identifies you as our user. Examples of Personal Information we collect include: names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, location, background data location that you provide when creating your Transact’s account or use our service.

      If you create account as a seller (supplier or retailer), we collect further information include store name, store address, location, and ABN. Importantly, we collect other information for banking details such as bank account number; and financial information such as credit card details – number, amount of date, expiry date, CVV/CVC, account numbers, transaction details, and payments that you provide when using our services for payments and transactions. We use this data for transaction and payment processing and do not disclosed financial data and transaction data to other parties except Stripe.com as our payment gateway service provider.

      We also collect other information for content such as product and/or service name, weight, dimensions, prices, delivery calculations, image, inventory, stocks.

      This Personal Information is obtained in many ways including correspondence, by telephone, by email, via our website www.etransact.com.au or www.transactmarket.com , or from our app Transact (Marketplace for Suppliers and Retailers) (com.transact.app), from media and publication, from other publicly available sources and from third parties.

      We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you, providing information to our clients and marketing. We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing.

      When we collect Personal Information we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.

  4. Analytics and Cookies
    1. Transact Australia also collects statistical information about visitors to our Website and Store using web analytics and session recording technology provided by third party service providers such as Google Analytics. These services use Cookies to assist us in understanding how visitors access and utilise our Website and Store. We do not use this information to identify particular individuals. However, in some circumstances the statistical information may include a visitor's internet protocol (IP) address, which could be linked to an individual. In some cases your internet protocol (IP) addresses may be collected directly by a third party service provider.
  5. Sensitive Information (subject to greater restrictions)
    1. Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual's racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information.       • For a secondary purpose that is directly related to the primary purposee

      • Third party such as https://stripe.com – Stripe SDK as our payment gateway when process your transactions as buyer and seller (supplier and retailer).     1. Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

      When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information.

      We do not sell personal and sensitive user data.

      We never publicly disclose any personal dan sensitive user data related to financial or payment activities or any government identification numbers.

    1. You may access the Personal Information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your Personal Information, please contact us in writing.

      Transact Australia will not charge any fee for your access request, but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your Personal Information.

      In order to protect your Personal Information we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

    1. It is an important to us that your Personal Information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records and ensure we can continue to provide quality services to you.
